Pini Group

The Pini Group represents the result of the enterprise and passion of Piero Pini and his family.

The story of the Pini Group is an entrepreneurial activity that began in the 1980s in a region near the Italian Alps and reached markets worldwide within a few decades.

Piero Pini founded Bresaole Pini as the first industrial plant in 1982 in Grosotto, a small town in Valtellina (Sondrio Province, in the North of Italy). The business grew steadily over a few decades, bolstered by the authenticity of the products and the care in meat processing techniques.

The continuous pursuit of excellence, supported by investments in cutting-edge technologies, intertwines with a solid vision oriented toward progress and growth.

This vision first materialized in 1997 with Hungary Meat, one of the largest and most modern slaughterhouses in Central Europe. Subsequently, the early 2000s were dedicated to expanding into the certified Italian food supply chain market through the acquisition of Pini Italia and Ghinzelli. Finally, 2019 marked the birth of Litera Meat in Spain, followed by the brand-new Carnicas de la Litera plant, where excellence is achieved through the most innovative slaughtering and meat sectioning mechanisms.

Today, the Pini Group, with forty years of experience, is a leader in Europe in the slaughtering and meat processing sector, with facilities that stand out for their size, innovation and automation.
